THE ROUTE

route_coloured

The route of the sledging party, as shown on the original map of East Spitsbergen submitted to the Royal Geographical Society on 2nd June 1924. The majority of topographical details were made possible only by survey-work conducted on the 1923 expedition. Their main route is highlighted in red and their sidetracks in green.
